Wonderful Worcester Show
Phew…it’s been a manically busy few months and particularly the last 2 weeks, with designing new leaflets for our courses and for Christmas, putting together a residential sewing retreat in Herefordshire for this October, finding venues and materials for our lovely Christmas workshops, trying to get the new website finished….and then the Worcester Show.
I exhibited at the Worcester Show for the first time last year due to one of my sewing course attendees telling me about it and then I found out that she manages the event! Good to have the inside track on these things. It was so successful and enjoyable last year, that I decided to do it again this year.
It was a great day weather-wise (not too hot, not too sunny, no rain!) and lots of happy people with their children, dogs, parents and friends.
Sadly, the battery on my (hated) camera went flat overnight on Saturday for some reason and so I only managed to take a few pics with my mobile phone.
We ran our prize draw competition again for the chance to win one of our popular 6 week evening courses (dressmaking, home furnishings, crochet or knitting). Our lucky winner was picked and she will be starting her chosen course in September (Home Furnishings).
Last year, our lucky winner Angela chose to join our Beginners Learn To Knit 6 week course and she loved it. She came back for another chance to enter the prize draw, but sadly she didn’t win. What would the chances of that have been? Sorry Angela!
Next year, I think we need a bigger stand or a mini marquee as we were so busy all day…and with some of our new projects for this year and into next year….we will need more space!
